Safety and Inclusion Project

Introducing the Safety and Inclusion Project for Bend (and all of Central Oregon)

This project will assess the extent to which Bend businesses are perceived by their employees/staff as creating and sustaining a workplace environment in which employees/staff and patrons are treated with equity and inclusiveness, and are valued individually and collectively, by the business.

We believe that local businesses want to engage and create an atmosphere of belonging and inclusion but simply do not know how. And often DEI work is expensive and not at all centered to their specific workplace. This project will enable Bend businesses to identify and amplify areas of strength, isolate and address areas to improve, and provide an opportunity to strengthen the Bend community for businesses, employees/staff, patrons, and tourists. It is not only free and private but is also customized to each business’ needs.
